Chanel 2.55 Reissue
This stunning mademoiselle is named COCO, after Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel aka Coco Chanel. CoCo and I met one day while popping into my local Chanel boutique. I had never owned anything Chanel, but made a habit of visiting the pretty ladies each time I was browsing in Saks or Neiman Marcus. Each time, I would pray that one day I would walk out of the store with one of my very own. I visited with her several times before deciding to take the plunge, and treat myself to my very first CHANEL handbag.
The Jumbo Chanel 2.55 Reissue, is the largest in this style and just the right “in between” size. It’s big enough to handle the essentials, with a little extra room, but not as spacious as the CC (Classic Chanel) Double Flap Maxi. There are several interior pockets, and compartments, as well as a generous back pocket. The grey caviar calf skin leather on this is textured, and softens over time with wear. Still very durable, easy to clean, and will resist water stains with proper care. The strap and hardware are made from a beautifully rustic looking RUTHENIUM METAL that is smooth, strong, and does not dig into your shoulder.

How I (Vee) Rock It
This CHANEL 2.55 ICONIC piece is modeled after the CC handbag, but a few details such as the the chain strap and lock were revamped. I find myself going for this ArmCandy when I am trying to fly under the radar a bit, as there is no obvious logo. This was one of the deciding factors in my decision to purchase this particular bag. My preferred carrying style is with the chain fully extended, and on the shoulder. When hopping in and out of the car, or running errands, I tend to double the strap, or wear it cross body. Being that it is lighter in weight it’s a great bag to carry when you are going to be out and about for a while (ie. shopping, happy hour, sporting events, etc.).
Ready to Shop?!
Surprisingly, this bag just HAPPENED to be in the store and available for purchase while I was out shopping one weekend. I purchased another Chanel Icon bag prior to this one, but after sleeping on it, that bag was returned. I was AT the store, ready to do my return and purchase Coco first thing the next a.m.
