Stuart Weitzman Highland Boots
Years ago, the thought of thigh high boots immediately led me to think of street walkers, and naughty women. Thanks to Stuart Weitzman’s Highland boots, my mind would soon change.
They are extremely sexy, but not tawdry. The suede allows them to be casual so that you don’t look like you are doing too much. When wearing these, I always feel like I am pulled together, without really trying. They transition from the office, to a nice dinner, to drinks with the girls seamlessly. To top it off, these are one of the most COMFORTABLE pairs of shoes that I own. Period.
How I (Vee) Rock It
It’s almost impossible to mess up styling theses boots. Since they become the focus of the outfit, you really don’t have to add much. Jeans, t-shirt, Highlands and go! I am not a fan of dresses in winter, but these are the perfect way to weave shorter dresses into your winter wardrobe without sacrificing warmth.
The semi block heel is about 4″and the top of the boot hits me about 6 inches above the knee. The toe is rounded, but still narrows a bit to give the foot a more sleek look. The footbed is padded slightly, and the inside is satin lined. The only negative thing I have to say about them, is that they tend to slide down from the thigh from time to time despite the tie in the back. Regardless, I highly recommend these shoes as a wardrobe staple!
Ready to Shop?!
I ordered mine from Saks online. After reading the reviews, I ordered my true US size, as opposed to my European size. They will give with wear, but not to the point of being too big. I wear mine with above the knee socks that I found a Target to help keep the sliding down from the thigh at a minimum.
