The DIOR J’ADIOR sling back pumps have been on my radar for quite some time but I was never really loving the patent leather that I had often seen in the stores. While perusing Pinterest for outfit ideas I came across the sling backs in the black technical fabric and feel in love! The J’ADIOR printed on the BOW and STRAP gives the pump a sophisticated flair. And the technical fabric kept the classy style but bridged the ability to make them also casual.
Although I have several pairs of pumps, I only have one pair in black, and they are the 5” Pigalle Christian Louboutins. Those don’t get as much wear as they used to as my threshold for discomfort isn’t what its once was. That made choosing these pointy toe lovelies an easy choice.
The key with styling these is to let them play the starring role in your outfit ensemble. If you are wearing these with an evening dress, it should be classic in shape and a solid color. If you are wearing with pants, a simple pair of jeans, trousers or cargo pants and a classic T would balance beautifully.
So far I have only worn them once, out to dinner and drinks with the girls. I paired them with loose ankle length destroyed jeans, a flowy black T-shirt and a leather jacket. For their first wear, I’d say they held up pretty well in the comfort department. They lasted about 4 hours before I needed to slip them off under the table, but I am confident that they will break in well after a few more nights out.

P.S. The J’ADIOR sling back is priced a bit higher than what i would typically spend on pumps. However their unique adornment and classic shape made them well worth the investment and will become a closet staple for years to come.
