Hey hey lovers of fashion! I have been MIA for several weeks, but I am back and ready to gush about my latest obsession. Back in early May, I posted about the slippers, slides, and mules that have been taking over the fashion scene this Spring/Summer. One of these was the Miu Miu Pearly Faux Shearling Slides. I snagged myself a pair after writing that post, and have been wearing them CONSTANTLY.
I was inspired to buy these after seeing Hailey Baldwin rocking them with a pair of cutoff denim shorts, tank, and flowing silk trench. I have been wearing them with cropped jeans and flowy blouses or Ts. I also think they would look really great with dress pants and a fitted top. Now that the weather is starting to really warm up, they are adding major FLAIR to my summer dresses and skirts. These call a lot of attention, so I pair them with solid colors, or very clean simple pieces.
These are a true luxe purchase, as there is not necessarily a practical use case for FUR PEARL embellished slides. However, I find myself reaching for them more frequently that I thought I would. I am stopped by someone who is admiring them every single time I have worn them out. When they arrived, I was almost prepared to send them back since I felt a little silly for making such a lavish purchase, and wasn’t sure I would even be able to make them work. As soon as I slid the fur lined slipper on, it was pure HEAVEN. The shoe itself has a little bit of weight to it, with its leather lined sole. They may look like slippers, but the bottoms are made to glide through the streets.
So, if you are looking to add a little feminine funk to your summer style, these are a must!
